CBD Can Help You Achieve Your Fitness Goals

CBD Can Help You Achieve Your Fitness Goals

Whether you are getting yourself “summer ready”, picking up the weights for the first time, or have been working out for as long as you can remember - adding CBD into your daily routine may help you reach your fitness goals.

How much exercise should you be doing, anyway? According to the current Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity and 2 days of muscle-strengthening activity each week.

Unfortunately, soreness and muscle fatigue are part of working out - just ask anyone who exercises regularly! However, they should never keep you from the gym - especially when there are so many ways to help manage them.

CBD as part of your Morning Routine

Using CBD to support your fitness goals starts first thing in the morning. Taking an ingestible form of CBD supports your body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS). Your ECS’s main job is to keep your body in balance - including balancing any inflammation in your body - and less inflammation means less pain, tightness, and sore muscles/joints.

Try starting your day with one of our Citrus-C Gummies or a half dropper of our Essential Blend extract under your tongue. This is an easy way to help set yourself up for less inflammation - meaning you're more likely to workout!

Using CBD Pre-Workout

CBD used directly on the skin isn’t metabolized like an ingestible, and you may often feel the effects faster - meaning it can be the quickest way to get relief! Not only that, but topical products are convenient because they can be applied right where you need it. Use Relief Roll-On 15-30 minutes before your workout on sore/tight areas to have your body feeling ready to move when you are!

Using CBD Post-Workout

To support muscle recovery, try our Warming Blend Salve on stiff joints or muscles, or our Cooling Mint Salve on areas you have inflammation, including swelling and puffiness. Rubbing a dime-sized amount of salve onto problem areas may help relieve muscle and joint soreness, aches, and pains - especially after a challenging workout!

To further support muscle recovery, try an epsom salt bath with CBD. Run a warm bath, and add a cup or so of epsom salts along with 5-10 drops of CBD extract - try our Essential Blend for no additional fragrance - or our Citrus Spice for a pleasant “Florida Autumn” scent. Soak for as long as you like to enjoy the benefits. You can also use this recipe to create your own Citrus CBD Bath Salts.

After your bath or shower, try our RELIEF Hydro Lotion. This lotion not only helps soothe and hydrate your skin, it may also help with inflammation - and is perfect if you are looking to apply a product over a large area - even your whole body.

Our RENEW Body Oil is perfect to use during a massage! Developed with the help of massage therapists and chiropractors, this CBD Body Oil was created to help your body feel renewed after workouts - whether you are dealing with sore, tired, or swollen muscles or joints. Bring your bottle of RENEW Body Oil to your next massage appointment to take your massage (and muscle recovery) to the next level!

If you are new to working out, remember, it doesn’t have to be complicated! It can be as easy as taking a walk every weekday for 30 minutes. Remember to always consult your doctor if you have any questions or concerns about starting a workout program.

Just like starting a new workout program, if you are new to CBD, “start low and go slow”. This means starting with a low dose of CBD to see how your body responds. Take your time to determine just how much is the right amount for you to use to get the results you want. Everyone’s body is different, so it’s important to take the time to find the right dose for you. Read more about how to get started with CBD HERE.
